One of a limited number of special cruises Heritage Adventures is offering in partnership with Fal River Cornwall, exploring the history and archaeology of the spectacular Fal Estuary on board the classic wooden ferry, the Moyana.
Take a guided boat tour Cruise around the deep tidal basin of Carrick Roads and up through King Harry’s Reach. Discover how thousands of years of human activity have left their mark below and above the high water mark – from medieval ferry crossings and creekside churches to later forts, ports, quays, fish weirs, shipyards, tin mines and stately homes – and hear stories about the local families and important visitors who lived beside and sailed upon these waters, helping to shape the wonderful landscape we see today.
